BUFFY MOVIE WITHOUT JOSS WHEDON???

Can there be a Buffy movie WITHOUT Joss Whedon? The news is that they might give it a try? What do you think? Would you support a Buffy movie without Joss? What are they thinking??weigh in here! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Yes, there is going to be a "Buffy" movie without Joss....which is a really horribe idea. Without Whedon's great imagination and Sarah Michelle Prinze, Michelle Trachtenberg, Nicholas Brenden, and Alyson Hannigan, there is no Buffy. Without the original cast members and Joss's phenonmanel (Excuse my typing, I'm a little tired) mind, no Buffy can be created without making fans miss the old Buffy even more.

without Joss Buffy would not of been the greatest show that it was because the 1st movie bombed even though i enjoyed it but the tv show was alot better so if they make a new movie without the people who made BTVS what is was it will bomb again

Yes friends its true. It seems some chinese film maker has purchased the rights to buffy. I personally think its a load of crap that they would even attempt to remake Buffy without Joss and Sarah. The whole idea brings to mind a little saying "fire bad, tree pretty."

The movie is going to blow. The original fans probably wont find any interest in the new movie. I just can't believe they're are actually going to go through with the movie, it won't ever be as close to amazing as the show was. And I also heard Megan Fox is going to play Buffy which I think will make it even worse.

Buffy without Joss is like sauce without apples, Buffy was Joss's baby and will never be the same I just watched the last season with my wife who is a major Buffy fan and she said there needs to be a movie just like Angel she saw all of those we hav the first 3 seasons and I wanna find her the complete set. I would love to see a movie but it will have to have Joss writting, producing, and directing it.

I agree with the rest of you; the character of Buffy was created and nurtured along by Whedon, and Sarah Michelle Gellar so deeply defined the character that anyone else playing the role (even Kristy Swanson, who played the original version of Buffy in the 1992 movie) would seem false. No matter how well made this new movie is, it will be a disaster for the people who make it.

A Buffy film wothout Joss Whedon sounds impossible to me. If that film will ever be made, it will fail immensely. I don't think anyone would like it. Buffy is just not good without the original cast and Joss Whedon.

If they made a Buffy movie without Whedon would you even go to see it? What about if the cast were all in it?I think it would make a lot more people 'fans' of Buffy as well who have only actually watched the film and not the series. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Joss is the master story teller, any movie about Buffy without his involvement will probably suck.

Well I think that as long as they bring the original cast back, I'd watch it. It wouldn't be as great as it would be if Whedon was involved but the cast would give it the appearence that it could be great. They have to hury if they want to use David B. and James M. cause they are getting older. By the way, where is the story going to take place at? Sunnydale is gone! Europe maybe? It would be great to have the whole cast but if some of the people did not want to do it. I would still watch it as long as Joss was involved.

I was reading that the director who might do the Buffy movie wants to make the movie more dark and not have the movie not be funny like the show. I think that if the movie is made than it will have fans who enjiy only dark stuff and the real BUFFY FANS will not support it. I hope Joss stands up and does the movie.

Well it would be great if they could get back together and make a movie. I would be one of the ones in line waiting hours for sure. But the thing i do know is iMDb shows one in production for 2012
