| WILLOW ROSENBERG BIO | | In the first season, Buffy meets Willow on her first day at Sunnydale High and befriends her. Through the season, Willow assists Buffy and Giles in the Slayer duties that follow Buffy. She pines for the love of her best friend Xander Harris, who is in love with Buffy. In the second season, after accepting that Xander doesn't feel the same way about her, Willow develops a crush on a musician and werewolf, Oz. They soon become boyfriend and girlfriend and Oz becomes a part of the Slayer Circle. After Angelus murders Jenny Calendar, Willow begins to study Witchcraft. In the season finale, Willow restores Angel's soul a moment too late. The spell is performed after Willow is put into a coma when a bookcase is pushed over on her by vampires in the library. In the third season, Willow becomes heavily interested in Magic. The parents of Sunnydale are brainwashed by a demon in the form of two murdered children and they almost burn Buffy, Willow, and Amy at the stake. Before they are burned, Amy turns herself into a rat and remains a rat for years. Buffy slays the demon and the parents are back to normal. Willow is also hurt when Xander and Cordelia become boyfriend-girlfriend. When Spike kidnaps Willow and Xander for a spell, Willow and Xander share a romantic kiss and Cordy and Oz walk in on them. Cordy tries to run out, but falls through the floor to be stabbed by a metal bar. She breaks up with Xander in the hospital. The arrival of a rebellious slayer named Faith Lehane complicates matters greatly. Eventually, Oz and Willow have sex after their brief break-up due to Willow cheating on him with Xander. Willow also encounters her evil vampire counterpart from another universe and is shocked to see this version of her is "kinda gay." Willow also decides to attend UC Sunnydale with Buffy. In the fourth season, Willow is seen loving colledge life and she later shares a room with Buffy after Buffy's original roomate is revealed to be a demon and tries to kill Buffy. Willow's heart is broken when Oz cheats on her with a slutty female werewolf and musician, Veruca, in "Wlid at Heart." They break up and Oz moves away, taking his stuff. Willow casts a spell to make her pain go away, but it goes awry and almost gets her friends murdered. Witnessing the vengenance that Willow unleashed, the demon D'Hoffryn offers to make her into a vengeance demon like Anya, but she refuses. Later, Willow meets Tara Maclay, who seems to be the only other real witch in a wicca group that Willow's joined. In later episodes, the two realize that they have fallen in love and Willow eventually tells Buffy about her feelings. In the same episode, however, Oz returns to reconcicle with Willow, but he discovers that Willow and Tara are in love and he fless once more. In the fourth season finale, Willow casts a spell that helps defeat the demon-human hybrid Adam. In the fifth season, Willow continues to assist Buffy against the evils of the world and the darkness. A hell-Goddess, Glory, arrives in Sunnydale and soon becomes a major problem to Buffy and her friends' lifes. Soon after Glory arrives, Buffy figures out that little sister Dawn is the mystical key that Glory is willing to kill for. Willow is enraged when Glory drives Tara insane and tries to defeat her by using dark magic for the first time. Willow is almost killed, but Buffy rescues her just in time. In the last three episodes, Willow's power grows ever more greater and darker. In the finale, Willow restores Tara's sanity and also slows down Glory, making it easier for Buffy to defeat her. She telepathatically directs the group and Willow travels to LA to inform Angel of Buffy's death when she tries to save the world. Season six finds Willow now leading the Scooby Gang. Willow, Tara, Anya, and Xander bring Buffy back to life in the first two episodes, but the ritual is interrupted by choatic demons and Buffy has to dig herself out of the coffin and ground. Later, Tara and Willow continually argue over Willow's over-active use of Magic. Tara leaves Willow and moves out of the Summers house when she discovers one of Willow's worst magical endeavors: making Tara forget that they ever fought. Mid-season, Willow goes off the deep-end and becomes powerful enough to restore Amy to human form. Amy introduces Willow to a dark-magics sorcerer, and Willow becomes addicted. She becomes so reckless that she gets in a car crash with Dawn while running from a demon. Dawn gets badly injured and Willow finally faces her problem and stops magic altogether. In "Entropy," Tara and Willow have sex and get back together. However, their happiness is ruined the next morning when Warren Meers shoots Buffy in anger and accidentally murders Tara in the process. Willow breaks and goes over the edge, taking all the dark and evil magic from the Magic Box. In doing so, she loses herself and becomes Dark Willow, who is black-haird, veiny, and deadly powerful. Willow attempts to kill the remaining members of The Trio, but doesn't succeed due to being distracted into a full-out battle with Buffy in the Magic Box. Willow almost ends the World, but it stopped by Xander. She and Xander falls to their knees, Willow sobbing and her hair and body returing to normal. Season seven finds Willow in England living with Giles, learning to control her power. However, Giles sends Willow back early due to Willow's knowledge that something evil and really bad is coming to Sunnydale. Willow begins to date potential Slayer, Kennedy, and is using her powers in small amounts. Later, she is forced to push herself to her limits when she travels to LA to battle a possesed Cordelia and restore Angel's soul once more in season four of Angel. In the series finale, Willow performs a spell that gives all the girls in the world Slayer power (if they are meant to be a Slayer). The Slayer Army defeat the First, destroying Sunnydale and the Hellmouth.
