JOYCE SUMMERS BIO

Joyce is Buffy's mom and in the beginning didn't know her daughter was a slayer. they moved to sunnydale where Joyce hoped Buffy would stay in school ad where she opened her own art gallery. at the end of season 2 she found out that her daughter was the slayer and couldn't handle it and kicked her daughter out. when Buffy returned they at first had a hard time getting back to normal but that all changed when the walking dead crashed into their house. from then on she became more accepting of both her daughter's calling and Rupert Giles. she has become friends with both spike and angel and advised angel to let her daughter have her life. under the influence of a spell she had sex with Giles and kept it a secret from her daughter until earshot. in season 5 she gets a new daughter dawn and shortly after becomes ill. while ill she sees dawns true form and realizes that although dawn is important that she is not her daughter. the doctor's find ad remove a brain tumor and Joyce becomes well and starts dating. a few episodes later though Buffy finds Joyce on the couch dead. she died from a brain aneurysm
